My father served active duty during WWII. Due to a clerical error, he was recalled during the Korean War. He spent quite a chunk of his time on the USS Intrepid. My son, a few of his friends, my husband and I had the opportunity to see LISS (Long Island Street Survivors), Artimus Pyle, JoJo, Leslie (Lynyrd Skynyrd drummer and singers, who are survivors from the plane crash that killed many band mates and friends) and several other talented musicians pour their hearts and souls out on the very deck I am sure my father swabbed some 60 odd years ago. It was with great pride and honor I shed tears that day. God Bless America! Thanks to those great artists I was reminded how united we Americans are. I have family, as do most folks, serving their country at this very moment. It was made clear that day...We Will Never Forget. Whatever issue we carry toward government...those troupes are our family. They will always have my full support. Thanks to all who took that stage for always making that point clear. Thanks to all that made it happen. Most importantly...A Very Special Thank You to all of you who have sacrificed your own lives...to protect my life and the lives of all Americans!!! You are all in my prayers. May God Bless You and Keep You Safe! Forever in your debt, Patty

Dear Onsight Support (Nick) thank you so much for the 2 boxes. i have opened them up and sharing everything with my section. i have been over in Baghdad since early DEC 2005. we have been through a lot of changes like the elections and now we are trying to keep a civil war from breaking out. there was something in the boxes for everyone. is really nice to have support from complete strangers. we will try to give children we pass on missions candy and socks. these kids are throwing rocks at us when we leave on missions and then asking for candy when we come back! so they are not much different than those protesters at home, they don't support the war but they do support the troops. keep up the good work and i hope to be back stateside by Christmas 2006! thanks again and my section thanks you also.
